Welcome to Gdansk – the most beautiful city in Poland!

Gdansk has many attractions to offer. It is located in the north of Poland on the Baltic Coast (Bay of Gdansk) what makes it good place to visit in the summer. With its more than 1000 years history Gdansk has many architectural gems which deserves to be landmarked. Although the city was destroyed during the Second World War Gdansk still has beautiful places to visit. It here where “Solidarity” was created– the first independent trade union in the Soviet bloc. It played an important role in polish history.

Nowadays Gdansk is vigorously developing city. Gdansk and nearby cities Sopot and Gdynia form a metropolitan area called Tricity (Trojmiasto). It is a cultural and education center. Every week some interesting events take place. During summer Gdansk hosts one of the biggest cultural event in Europe – St. Dominic’s Fair with more than 750 years of tradition. But not only Gdansk is worth visiting. Don’t forget about Sopot and Gdynia, Malbork, Stutthof and Hel peninsula.
