Wroclaw Nicolaus Copernicus Airport (Port Lotniczy Wroclaw im. Mikołaja Kopernika) is located about 10 km west of the city centre. Unfortunately, there is no train station close to the airport, so you need to rely on buses and taxis.
Travelling by buses in Poland is not as comfortable and fast as travelling by trains, but is significantly cheaper. In some regions we are still waiting for highways to be built, which will increase the overall bus speed and make it more competitive compared to trains.
After years of investments in railroad infrastructure, we can finally say that travelling by trains in Poland is worth its money. Trains are much faster, comfortable and safe than they used to be, and unless there are some unexpected accidents, they usually arrive on time
There are two main means of public transport in Wroclaw: buses and trams. The system of public transport in Wroclaw is supplemented by Polinka – cableway going between Technical University of Wroclaw and Geocentrum, and Koleje Dolnośląskie trains.
