Camping in Gdansk

If you come to Gdansk during a long trip, it is possible that you have a tent with you and would like to put it up somewhere to save some money. Unfortunately, it is not possible to put up your tent wherever you want. Unless you want to go outside the city to put up your tent in the surrounding forest (which is also illegal, and you might be fined if you are found), you need to look for official camping in Gdansk.

There are 3 camping sites in Gdansk:

Camping in Gdansk Stogi

There are two campsites in Gdansk Stogi, both located very close to each other and very close to Stogi Beach. Remember that Gdansk Stogi is a residential area, and except for the beach, there is not a lot to do there.

Gdansk Camping 218

This site is a good place if you want to be close to the beach and in a relatively calm environment. Prices for camping in your own tent are moderate: 12/17 PLN/ tent + 12/17 PLN per person. No additional fees for showers, toilets and kitchen, but local tax (2,22 PLN/person/night) is not included. It also offers bungalows (30-60 PLN/person/night) and  Caravans (30-50 PLN/person/night).

Camping 114

This one is just a few meters away from Stogi 218. Prices are almost the same: 12/17 PLN/ tent + 14/18 PLN per person. if you want to hire a bungalow, be prepared to pay 60-100 PLN/person/night depending on the standard. Local tax applies (2,22 PLN/person/night). The facilities are mostly the same, plus a large dining room where you can have breakfast or dine. The camping area is secured with a surveillance camera.

Camping in Gdansk Jelitkowo

The other camping option is Camping Park 45, located on the border between Sopot and Gdansk Jelitkowo. This one is even closer to the beach, but a bit further from the city centre. Also, the standard is a bit higher than those in Gdansk Stogi, but it is closer to bars and restaurants, so it might be a bit noisy in the evening. It may also be more crowded. Prices are 14-27 PLN/tent and 19 PLN/person. As the camping is formally located in Sopot, the local tax is higher: 4,4 PLN/person/night due to Sopot having a health resort status.
